Machine Repair Service Area: Every Region of Minnesota
Minnesota Industrial MachineX repairs CNC machines, press brakes, lasers, EDMs, hydraulics, robots and production equipment on site in every region of Minnesota, from the Twin Cities suburbs to the Iron Range and the Red River Valley. Our techs are Minnesota-based with mechanical engineers behind them, and for a hard-down machine we can usually respond the same day, wherever the plant is. Call (651) 386-6553.
Minnesota techs traveling the whole state. Call and we’ll give you a real travel and arrival estimate, every time.
How Far Our Techs Travel
Our techs don’t all start the day from one shop. They’re spread across the state and move from job to job, so the question is never “how far is your office” but “who is closest right now.”
Here’s the plain version:
- Twin Cities metro: in the metro we’re usually an hour or less away.
- Greater Minnesota: for most plants in greater Minnesota, travel runs two hours or less.
- Far north (Arrowhead, Iron Range and the Northwest): travel runs longer up there, and it gets shorter when a tech is already working nearby.
Travel is billed by the hour, one way only, figured from wherever the nearest tech is, and time at your machine is billed by the hour too. Parts are quoted before we order them, and the current figures are on our machine repair rates page.

Up north, a phone call first can save a long drive. Many alarms, lost parameters and PLC faults can be narrowed down over the phone or on a video call through our remote troubleshooting and engineering support. If a tech still has to make the trip, the right parts ride along.
Monthly Maintenance Anywhere in the State
Our monthly maintenance program works the same way in every region. A Minnesota tech visits on a set schedule, most plants starting monthly, to work the PM checklist and your repair list and keep critical spares in order, so a breakdown between visits reaches someone who already knows your machines. Outside the metro, visits are planned to cover as much as possible in one trip, which makes the program a practical answer for a plant that can’t find or keep a maintenance tech.
Don't See Your Town? Call for a Real Estimate
The towns above are the ones people ask about most, not a fence line. If your plant is in Minnesota, we cover it.
Call (651) 386-6553 and tell us three things: where the plant is, what the machine is (make, model, control), and what it’s doing or not doing. We check where our techs are that day and give you a real travel and arrival estimate before anyone gets in a truck. When a machine is down and orders are waiting, start with our emergency machine repair line. For scheduled work, quotes or questions, the contact form works too.
FAQ
Do you really cover all of Minnesota?
Yes. Our techs travel the whole state, from the Twin Cities metro to Rochester, Worthington, Moorhead, Bemidji, Duluth and the Iron Range. If the plant is in Minnesota, call and we’ll tell you who can get there and when.
How far away is your closest tech?
It depends on the day, because our techs move from job to job. In the metro we’re usually an hour or less away, and for most plants in greater Minnesota travel runs two hours or less. Travel runs longer in the far north. Call (651) 386-6553 and we’ll give you a real estimate based on where our techs are right now.
Do you charge for travel time?
Yes. Travel is billed by the hour, one way only, and it’s figured from wherever the nearest tech is, not from a home office. Time on site is billed by the hour, and parts are quoted before we order them. Current rates are on our rates page.
Can you come the same day if our machine is down?
In most cases, yes. A hard-down machine usually gets a same-day response no matter where in the state the plant is. Call early in the day and have the machine make, control and alarm ready.
Is there a city page for my town?
We have city pages for Minneapolis, St. Paul, St. Cloud, Rochester, Mankato, Duluth, Winona, Owatonna and Faribault, Austin and Albert Lea, Alexandria and Willmar. Every other town is covered on its region page, and the service and pricing are the same everywhere in the state.
What if my town isn't listed?
Call anyway. The lists are the towns people ask about most, not the edge of our coverage. Tell us where the plant is and what the machine is doing, and we’ll give you a travel and arrival estimate.
