Industrial Machines We Repair

If it’s on your production floor and it’s broken, running rough or throwing alarms, call us. Here’s the equipment we work on and the problems that usually bring us out.

CNC lathes, mills and routers

We chase axis alarms, encoder and feedback faults, ballscrew backlash, turret indexing and chuck problems, ATC and pallet changer faults, and spindle noise or runout. That covers Haas, Mazak, Okuma, Doosan, DMG Mori, Makino, Hurco, Fadal and Mori Seiki machines on Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Heidenhain and Fagor controls.

Press brakes

When angles won't repeat, Y1/Y2 sync faults show up or the X/R backgauge drifts, we trace it through the proportional valves, pump, light curtains and safety circuits. We work on Amada, Trumpf, Cincinnati, Accurpress, Bystronic, Salvagnini, HACO, Chicago (Dreis & Krump) and Ermaksan.

Laser cutters, plasma tables and waterjets

Dross and bad edges usually come down to nozzle centering, focus, assist gas or the chiller on a laser, torch height control on a plasma table, or the intensifier pump and high-pressure seals on a waterjet. We service fiber and CO2 lasers, plus Flow, Omax and Jet Edge waterjets.

Wire and sinker EDM

Threading failures, wire breaks, poor flushing, spent filters and resin, and power supply faults are the usual calls on Sodick, Mitsubishi, Makino, Fanuc RoboCut and AgieCharmilles machines.

Punch presses, shears and ironworkers

We handle turret indexing and alignment, clutch and brake trouble on stamping presses, shear blade gap, ironworkers, plate rolls and tube benders. Brands include Amada, Trumpf, Strippit, Murata Wiedemann, Minster, Bliss, Niagara, Verson, Scotchman, Piranha and Edwards.

Hydraulic systems

If pressure won't build, a ram creeps, a fitting leaks or a pump runs hot, we work through the relief and directional valves and cylinder seals, and we do full cylinder rebuilds.

Robots and automation cells

We fix servo and encoder alarms, lost positions after a collision, end-of-arm tooling and cell safety circuits on Fanuc, Motoman, ABB and Kuka robots.

Conveyors, packaging lines and plant equipment

We fix the drives, motors, sensors and photo eyes on the line, along with the Siemens, Modicon and AutomationDirect PLCs that run it.

We also repair injection molding machines (Cincinnati Milacron, Engel, Arburg, Van Dorn, Nissei, Toshiba), surface and cylindrical grinders (Okamoto, Chevalier, Brown & Sharpe, Harig) and band saws (DoAll, Hyd-Mech, Marvel). The full list is on our machine repair page.

Machine Rebuilds, Parts and Maintenance

If you can’t find or keep a maintenance tech, our monthly maintenance service fills that seat. Our Minnesota techs come to your plant on a set schedule, most plants monthly and busier floors every other week or weekly, to work the PM checklist and your repair list and keep your critical spares in order. So when something breaks between visits, you’re calling techs who already know your machines. Programs are quoted per plant after a walk-through.

Rebuilds and control retrofits

We rebuild spindles, hydraulic cylinders and full machines, and we put a new control on solid iron that's stuck with a control nobody supports anymore.

Servo motor repair and rebuilds

We test the motor, the amplifier and the feedback to find which one actually failed, handle the rebuild, then reinstall and tune it at the machine.

Machine alignment and leveling

We level machines, tram spindles, check axis squareness, set backlash compensation, align turrets and tailstocks, and bring press brake rams back to parallel.

Parts sourcing

Send a photo of the data plate and we'll identify obsolete and discontinued parts and track down a replacement. Parts are quoted before we order them, and we can stock critical spares at your plant.

Troubleshooting and engineering support

Call before we drive, because a lot of alarms can be sorted out by phone or video. Our mechanical engineers take the problems nobody else could figure out.

Preventive maintenance programs

We build PM schedules machine by machine, and that checklist is what our techs work through on every monthly visit.

Machine moves and installs

We handle rigging, relocation, setting, leveling and startup.

Industrial Machine Sales

We’re an authorized HACO dealer, so we sell new HACO press brakes, shears and fabrication machines and service them after the sale. We also sell refurbished machines and help you pick the machine that fits the parts you actually run.

How a Service Call Works

  1. Call (651) 386-6553 with the machine, the control and the alarm or symptom. If the machine is down, see emergency machine repair.
  2. We troubleshoot by phone or video when we can, and sometimes that’s the whole fix.
  3. If a tech needs to come out, we tell you who’s closest and give you a real travel and arrival estimate.
  4. The tech finds the cause on site, fixes what can be fixed that visit, and quotes any parts before ordering them.
  5. Before the tech leaves, you know what we found, what we fixed and anything that’s still open.

Where We Work

We cover the metro, Central Minnesota and the Lakes Area, West Central, Southern Minnesota along I-90, the Southwest, Southeast and Bluff Country, the Arrowhead and Iron Range, and the Northwest. Every region and city is on our service area page.

Machine Repair Cost

On-site time and travel are billed by the hour, with travel billed one way only from wherever the nearest tech is. Parts are quoted before we order them, and the current numbers are on our rates page.
